Homelessness
"I was a stranger and you welcomed me" - Matthew 25:35
Brother Roy has worked at the House of Mercy in Dartford near London for the past twenty years.
The House of Mercy provides hostel accommodation for homeless people, mostly from the local area. The House was opened in 1992 by the Mercy Sisters in response to the large number of people arriving to the convent for assistance. The hostel has room for 7 residents and as many as 500 homeless people have been helped over the past two decades.
